Construction & Demolition Recycling Available at Collection Centers
Data from the previous Waste Characterization Study showed that more than 25% of the material that ended up in the landfill was construction and demolition (C&D). To help reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, we have C&D recycling available at all 12 Collection Centers. The C&D collected at the centers will go to a C&D facility where the items will be sorted; many C&D materials can be recycled or reused.
For small, do-it-yourself projects, completed by the homeowner, C&D waste can be recycled at all 12 of the Collection Centers.
The centers will accept C&D materials from residents with a current decal who are doing the work themselves. Contractors and businesses are not allowed to use the centers. Residents may bring a maximum of one pickup truck-sized load in a seven-day period to any of the Collection Centers. Those with a large load will need to complete a form.
