Chatham County Department of Social Services administers an emergency assistance program to address the urgent needs of the residents of Chatham County. The goal of this program is to provide one-time assistance for families and individuals to alleviate the crisis and help prevent future crises. Priority will be given to families with children and adults with disabilities, individuals receiving adult or child protective services, or families who may become a client of protective services if emergency needs are not addressed.
