Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) - Update

Fiscal year 2026 LIEAP season opens on December 10, 2025 for seniors and the members of our community with disabilities. All other eligible households can begin applying on January 2, 2026. Applications will remain open until March 31, 2026 OR until all funds are exhausted.

Visit the NC Department of Health and Human Services for more information on eligibility and applying for LIEAP benefits.
