The mission of the Health Promotion and Policy Division is to create and support programming and policies to empower the people of Chatham County to thrive in healthy communities.
This team of public health professionals supports and initiates activities designed to favorably influence knowledge, attitudes, practices, and policies related to public health. This unit’s primary focus is on a process of planned change, which focuses on the development and evaluation of programs, as well as environmental and policy-level changes, to create positive health outcomes.
