These are medications approved by the FDA to treat opioid use disorder. Some examples are Suboxone and Subutex.

These medicines help:

  • Reduce strong cravings
  • Reduce sick feelings when stopping opioids (withdrawal symptoms)
  • Reduce the risk of overdose and death

  • If you want to use less
  • If you want to stop using opioids

Our clinic provides judgment-free, confidential care for individuals interested in treatment.

You may be eligible for if you:

  • Are 18 years or older.
  • Use prescription opioids or illicit opioids (such as heroin or fentanyl)
  • Want to reduce or stop opioid use

An initial visit includes a clinical assessment to determine an opioid use disorder diagnosis. Treatment plans are individualized and may include:

  • Medication
  • Individual or group counseling (optional)
  • Referrals to additional support services to help address treatment barriers (transportation, cost, etc.)
  • Follow-up visits to help ensure the medication is working well and adjust treatment as needed.

Most insurance plans cover treatment. Services are also available for individuals without health insurance. If you are a Chatham resident and qualify, services will be provided at no cost to you.
