Thanks to a collaboration with Diagnostics Your Way, the Chatham County Public Health Department is excited to offer free, at home sexually transmitted infection (STI) test kits for Chatham County residents ages 16 and older!

STI kits are specifically to test for gonorrhea and chlamydia and are available while supplies last

What does the testing process look like?

Our at home-STI testing process is just a few easy steps:

Order a kit through our website by entering your date of birth and zip code.
Test arrives in discreet packaging at your home.
Complete the test at home (instructions are provided in the kit and videos are available on the website).
Receive your results within three to five days. Tracking is available.
A Chatham County Public Health Department nurse will have access to test results for follow-up. If the result is positive, a public health nurse will contact you to schedule an appointment for treatment at no cost.

If you have any questions about the test, please contact our Siler City clinic at 919-742-5641. The Chatham County Public Health Department is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a lunch break from 12 PM to 1 PM.

HIV, Syphilis, Hep C, and other testing is available at the Chatham County Public Health Department Siler City clinic (1000 S. Tenth Ave.) at no cost. Call 919-742-5641 to schedule an appointment.
