The Flu Vaccine

FACT: The most effective way to protect yourself from the worst outcomes from the flu virus is to get vaccinated.

Certain groups of people are more likely to have severe complications from the flu, including persons 65 years and older; adults who have asthma, heart disease, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and other chronic conditions; and pregnant people. For these individuals, the flu vaccine is very important.

To get a flu shot, speak to your healthcare provider, visit your pharmacy, or give our clinic a call.

If you don't have health insurance or your health insurance does not cover flu shots, you can get a flu shot from us at no cost. Call (919) 742-5641 to make an appointment today. If you have insurance, please bring your insurance information when you visit us.

Other Things You Can Do to Protect Yourself
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available.
  • If you'd like, you can also wear a snug-fitting mask in crowded spaces or in public.
