Instructions to Access Meetings Remotely

Anyone may view meetings remotely during through the internet. Residents are encouraged to register in advance of the upcoming meeting. Meeting dates and times are posted on the county calendar, viewable on each board's webpages. They are also listed in the event box on the right for the Planning BoardAppearance CommissionTransportation Advisory Committee, and Zoning Board of Adjustment.

The link to register for a meeting is found in the meeting calendar event. Once registered, individuals will receive a confirmation email with further instructions and the link to view the meeting. Please note: If not viewing the meeting via internet, comments can be submitted in writing.

Instructions to Provide Written Comment 

Planning Board- To provide written comments for the public input portion in advance to a meeting, please email the clerk to the board, Dan Garrett dan.garrett@chathamcountync.gov

Appearance Commission- To provide written comments for the public input portion in advance of a meeting, please email the staff liaison to the commission, Angela Plummer angela.plummer@chathamcountync.gov

Transportation Advisory Committee- To provide written comments for the public input portion in advance to a meeting, please email the staff liaison to the commission, Thanh Schado thanh.schado@chathamcountync.gov

Written comments may also be submitted by mail the Planning Department at PO Box 54, Pittsboro NC 27312. Please include, your name, address, the name of the board and meeting date, and written comments.

Helpful Tips 

  • For the best viewing experience ensure there is a good internet connection and a headset is recommended.
  • Those without internet access, public wifi is available at county buildings and may work from the parking lot, however, signal strength varies outside of the buildings.
  • Everyone is encouraged to follow the posted agenda. To view the agendas for all Boards and Committees, information is made available via the calendar event for that meeting. 
  • Please note, there may be up to a 60-second delay between the real-time event and the video.
