Chatham County Schools Academic Calendar

In the Summer of 2025, Chatham County Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources hosted it's first ever Family Day Camp!  On this day, we opened our camp facility at Northwest District Park for families to participate in traditional summer camp activities like archery, boating, fishing, crafts, games and more...  Each family member must register in order to participate and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration: Saturday, 3/28/26 at 10:00 a.m.  Registration will be available online, and in person at Northwest District Park. Registration will only be available to Chatham County Residents.

In this camp, participants will take on fun visual arts projects, delicious culinary projects, and participate in team/confidence building activities in addition to traditional camp games and crafts.

Join Just Kids Skills Camps for an exciting youth sports experience! Our camp focuses on sports skills, agility, nutrition, and character-building, helping kids excel both on and off the field. ART CAMP: IMAGINATION STATION

This camp is all about making! We’re diving headfirst into a hands-on experience with drawing, painting, 3D construction, and more, exploring materials and practicing art techniques. CREATIVITY CAMP FOR TEENS!

This is a Creativity Camp for teens and is all about making! We are diving headfirst into a hands-on experience with drawing, printmaking, multimedia and more, exploring materials and practicing cool techniques. You will be inspired through a series of fun art challenges designed to stretch your artistic muscles. Supplies provided. Instructed by Frances Savarin. Five-class sessions.

YOUTH HOOPS BASKETBALL CAMPS

We have teamed up with Youth Hoops to present summer basketball camps. These camps provide a fun-filled environment where participants receive comprehensive instruction in individual offensive and defensive basketball skills. Emphasis is on fundamental development through skill-specific stations, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games, and guidance on effective practice techniques. ART CAMP: COLOR ME RAINBOW ARTS & CRAFTS

Yarn printing, paper collage critters & beaded plants! This camp is a playful, hands-on experience where participants explore color, texture, pattern, and mixed media through three unique projects.
