All branches will be closed Friday, January 16th for staff development and Monday, January 19th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Chatham Community Library will be closed Friday, January 16th and Saturday, January 17th for maintenance and a deep clean of the building. Please do not return any checked out materials to CCL from Friday, January 16th until we reopen on Tuesday, January 20th after Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Book returns will be closed due to the cleaning, and the building will be inaccessible to staff.
MISSION: Chatham County Public Libraries plays an integral role in the community by encouraging reading, lifelong learning, and community engagement, and by providing opportunities for people to connect, learn, and grow.
- Print and audio-visual materials at three library branches (materials can be transferred between branches)
- Downloadable books, audiobooks, and magazines through OverDrive
- Stream thousands of films for free with Kanopy
- Access to NC LIVE, a statewide collection of newspapers, journals, magazines, reference sources, and eBooks
- Reference materials to assist with general research and genealogy/local history research
- Adult programs including book clubs, author events, and computer classes
- Children’s story times and programs for various age groups
- Public meeting space
- Public computers and wi-fi access
