15A NCAC 18A .2670 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PUSHCARTS AND MOBILE FOOD UNITS
(3) Prior to initiating food service operations in a particular county, the pushcart or mobile food unit permit holder shall provide the regulatory authority in each county in which food service operations are proposed a list of locations where they will operate. Such lists must be kept current.

Mobile Food Units permitted out of another county that want to operate in Chatham County, please complete the annual registration process.

Registration Process

Out of County and Chatham County Mobile Food Unit Registration Process

1) Go to Environmental Health Open Gov Portal Verification Form

*You will need to create an Open Gov account before you can submit Verification Form

2) Upload the Mobile Food Unit current inspection

3) EHS will approve the Mobile Food Unit in the Open Gov Portal.

* If the Mobile Food Unit holds a valid food permit, once registered and approved, the Mobile Food Unit may operate in Chatham County for that calendar year.
