Lodging establishments include hotels, motels, inns, and bed‑and‑breakfast facilities. Bed and Breakfast Homes are inspected once per year; hotels, motels, and Bed and Breakfast Inns are inspected twice per year. Each facility receives a posted grade of A, B, or C.

Inspections ensure proper sanitation and evaluate room cleanliness, lighting, hot‑water temperatures, ice bucket cleanliness, pest control, waste disposal, and furniture condition. Establishments offering continental breakfast are also checked for compliance with food safety requirements and must hold a food service permit if preparing food.
