Primary and General Elections are held in even-numbered years and are open to all registered voters in Chatham County. These elections include contests for federal, state, judicial, and county offices.

Voters may cast a ballot:

  • During the Early Voting period, at any designated early voting site in the county
  • On Election Day, at their assigned polling place based on their residential address

Early Voting Sites

During Primary and General Elections, voters in Chatham County may vote at any of the following Early Voting sites, regardless of their assigned precinct:

Campaigning and signage must remain outside a 50-foot buffer zone at all Early Voting sites, as required by G.S. 163-166.4. These zones are clearly marked at each location.
