The Tree Protection Working Group was approved by the Chatham County Board of Commissioners to draft language for tree protection rules for the county.  This group is no longer active as they presented their final findings to the Board of Commissioners in December of 2022.

The Working Group was comprised of these members representing the Planning Board, Environmental Review Advisory Committee, Climate Change Advisory Committee and Grand Trees of Chatham County:
