Chatham County welcomes residents who wish to contribute to their community by serving on one of the volunteer boards or committees. To be considered, residents must complete and submit an application form.

Please note:

• Some boards or committees may not have current vacancies.
• Certain positions require specific qualifications.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Applications are kept on file for one year.

Commissioner District Information

Applicants are required to select which Commissioner District they live on the application form.

1. To verify your Commissioner District, visit the Chatham County Elections ArcGIS website.
2. Select “Find My Representatives.”
3. Begin typing your address in the "Find address or place" box in the top left. Enter one character at a time until your address appears in the drop down list.
4. Select your full address.
5. Check the box labeled “Board of Commissioner Districts” to see your commissioner district number (1-5).
6. On the application form, select your district number. 
7. Your Commissioner District will be displayed.
