Chatham Community Library to Host Seed Saving for Food 10
PITTSBORO, NC—Chatham Community Library invites residents to learn about the wonderful world of seed saving. This free lecture class will cover the why, how, when, and where of saving seeds from food crops.

Participants will learn seed-saving methods that can increase food security, as well as learn how to trim food costs and develop plants with optimal traits to thrive in a garden’s specific climate. Attendees may also join in creating a local seed shed in the community.
The class will be taught by an NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteer. This program is free and open to the public.
