PITTSBORO, NC — The Chatham County Board of Commissioners and Chatham County Housing Department invites community members, housing stakeholders, and local partners to participate in a two-day Housing Retreat focused on exploring strategies to strengthen housing opportunities in Chatham County. The retreat will feature presentations from housing experts and provide opportunities for public engagement as the county considers future housing efforts.

As Chatham County continues to experience rapid growth, the Board of Commissioners is convening this public Housing Retreat to examine local government powers for housing action and explore opportunities for future investment in housing supply and services. Commissioners and attendees will hear presentations from housing professionals, policy experts, and regional partners on strategies that have been successfully implemented across North Carolina and discuss next steps for housing efforts in Chatham County.

Attendees will have opportunities to reflect on the information presented, share their perspectives, and help inform future housing conversations in Chatham County.
