Wren Memorial Library to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive

September marks Sickle Cell Awareness Month. Donated blood plays an essential role to the physical well-being of people battling sickle cell disease and can help a patient experiencing pain crises or other complications.
September is also National Preparedness Month and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. When emergencies strike, it’s the blood already on the shelves that helps with medical care. Donated blood can support kids, teens, or adults fighting cancer.
All who come to give blood from September 1 through 20, 2026, will receive a Red Cross x Hello Kitty® collectible item, while supplies last. Learn more: RedCrossBlood.org/HelloKitty.
