Chatham County Cooperative Extension to Host Hybrid Sustainable Lawn Care Workshop
Led by Chatham County Horticulture Agent Matt Jones and Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Diane Goodwin, the presentation will cover essential strategies for establishing and maintaining sustainable turfgrass. Attendees will learn about turfgrass selection, assessing site conditions, and proper watering and mowing practices. The workshop will also cover lawn establishment and renovation techniques, soil testing, fertilization, and integrated weed and pest management strategies.
To accommodate busy schedules, organizers are offering two ways to participate. Participants can attend the live, in-person presentation at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center in Pittsboro or stream the live, interactive webinar online.
