SILER CITY, NC— Wren Memorial Library, in partnership with Chatham County Diversion and Advocacy Programs and the Chatham County Public Health Department, invites the community to an Overdose Awareness and Remembrance event in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day.

The program will honor the lives lost to overdose while raising awareness about prevention, recovery, and the community resources available to support individuals and families. Through stories of remembrance, education, and connection, the event aims to reduce stigma, support healing, and inspire hope.

The program will feature guest speaker Tyler Martin, along with an opportunity for attendees to paint motivational rocks. Commemorative outdoor signs honoring loved ones lost to or impacted by overdose will be displayed on the library lawn.
