GOLDSTON, NC — Goldston Public Library, in partnership with Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources and the Friends of the Goldston Library, Inc., will host an End-of-Summer Celebration on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Southwest District Park. The free event is open to families and children of all ages and will include outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and popsicles.

As summer comes to an end, Goldston Public Library invites families to gather outdoors for a morning of fun, creativity, and community connection. Attendees can enjoy recreational activities, arts and crafts, and a sweet summer treat with popsicles.

School-aged children will also have the opportunity to receive a small back-to-school kit at 11:00 a.m., while supplies last.
The event will be held outdoors rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, the program will be postponed.

This event is presented by Goldston Public Library with support from Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources and the Friends of the Goldston Library, Inc.
