PITTSBORO, NC—Community members are invited to attend the Recovery Celebration and Boone and Sean Good Samaritan Memorial 5K & Fun Run, a day dedicated to honoring loved ones lost to addiction and overdose, celebrating the victories of recovery, and strengthening community support for individuals and families impacted by substance use.
Hosted by Chatham Drug Free, Chatham Diversion and Advocacy Programs, Chatham County Public Health Department, and Vaya, the event offers an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance, hope, and support.

The Memorial 5K and Fun Run will honor those whose lives have been lost to addiction and overdose, while the Recovery Celebration will recognize the strength and resilience of individuals in recovery and connect attendees with local prevention, treatment, and recovery resources.
Individuals of all ages—including families, children, and students—are encouraged to sign up for the 5K and Fun Run and participate in the day's activities.
