Chatham Community Library to Host Program Highlighting the Haw River

PITTSBORO, NC — Chatham Community Library will host nature photographer Jason Brown, as he presents "Seasons on the Haw" on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. This program is free and open to the public and no registration is required.

WHEN: Saturday, July 18, 2026, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Nature photographer Jason Brown will give a presentation about seasonal changes observed throughout the year at the Haw River. Brown will use his photographs to illustrate the different seasons. His presentation will also include information from U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) stream gages to show those seasonal changes and information from iNaturalist related to observations of certain species.

This free event is part of the Lower Haw Presents series hosted by Friends of Lower Haw River and co-sponsored by Chatham Community Library. Learn more about Friends of Lower Haw at www.lowerhaw.org.
