Chatham County to Celebrate America 250 with Community Event Honoring Heritage, Service, and Community Spirit

PITTSBORO, NC—Chatham County invites residents and visitors of all ages to celebrate America 250 at a community-wide event recognizing the Semiquincentennial of the United States on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center, 1192 US HWY 64 BUS West, Pittsboro, NC.

“Filled with music, food, history, and family fun, this event is part of the county’s broader initiative to join in reflecting on our history, honoring the contributions of all Americans, and envisioning the future we want to create for the next generation,” said Lindsay Ray, Intergovernmental Relations Manager in the County Manager’s Office.

WHEN: Saturday, June 27, 2026 | 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Hosted by the Chatham Celebrates America 250 County Committee, this free, family-friendly celebration offers something for everyone and highlights community, culture, and shared history. The classic car cruise-in will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., further supporting community engagement, heritage programming, and family-friendly activities. Second Bloom will operate a pop-up thrift store for the duration of the event.
