Hidden Treasures, Rare Finds, and Community Impact: Friends of Wren Memorial Library Launch Silent Auction

SILER CITY, N.C. — Book lovers, collectors, and bargain hunters alike are invited to discover unique treasures while supporting a valuable community resource during the Friends of Wren Memorial Library Silent Auction. Featuring everything from a complete Harry Potter book collection and original artwork to Pokémon collectibles and other exciting items, the auction offers something for every age and interest.

All proceeds directly benefit Wren Memorial Library and help support programs, services, and resources for the community.

WHEN: Monday, June 8, 2026, through Saturday, June 13, 2026. Business hours.

During the silent auction, individuals can bid on a variety of donated items, including books, artwork, collectibles, and specialty gifts. Participants may stop by throughout the week to browse, place bids, and support their local library.

Funding for this program is made possible by the generous support of the Friends of Wren. “This is one of the Friends group's ongoing efforts to enhance library services and programming while fostering community engagement,” said Christy Bondy, Library Director at Chatham County Libraries “Every bid helps strengthen resources available to local residents.”
