PITTSBORO, NC — The Chatham County Affordable Housing Advisory Committee invites community members to attend a panel discussion featuring housing professionals from neighboring local governments. The event will explore successful strategies and programs that support affordable housing and expand housing opportunities for residents.

As Chatham County continues to grow, expanding access to affordable housing remains a critical community priority. This panel discussion will bring together housing leaders from peer local governments to share insights, best practices, and innovative approaches to increasing housing opportunities.
Featured panelists include:

• Mary Lederle, Housing Programs Manager, Town of Cary
• Emily Holt, Assistant Director of Affordable Housing, Town of Chapel Hill
• Mark Perlman, Deputy Director of Housing Affordability and Community Revitalization, Wake County

Panelists will discuss how their communities have invested in affordable housing initiatives, leveraged partnerships, and implemented programs to support housing affordability. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about successful models and consider how similar strategies could inform future housing efforts in Chatham County.

This event is open to the public and is intended for community members, housing advocates, local stakeholders, and anyone interested in learning more about expanding affordable housing opportunities.
