Friends of the Chatham Community Library Announce Logo Contest

PITTSBORO, NC— The Friends of the Chatham Community Library (FOCCL) is excited to announce it is seeking creative input for a new logo that will better identify the organization. In order to engage its current members, and attract new members, FOCCL is introducing a competition to design a new logo, which runs through June 8, 2026, with a $250 prize to be awarded in mid-June.

Chatham County residents are encouraged to submit original designs for a logo that should reflect the values of literacy and community. The logo should incorporate the FOCCL name (abbreviated or spelled out) and be appropriate for business use. Submissions should be directed to contact@friendsccl.org.

Friends of the Chatham Community Library is an association of all volunteer members who share an interest in supporting the library and many vital contributions it makes to the community. FOCCL is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit group. Through membership dues, book sales and donations, the Friends:

Contribute supplemental funding for library projects, equipment, and programs that are not budgeted by County funds.

Encourage the support of the library by community members, local businesses, and government.

Promote community awareness and encourage the full use of the library, its services, and its resources.

Support the development, growth, and improvement of the library resources, services, and facilities.
