Goldston Public Library to Temporarily Close for Renovations
GOLDSTON, NC— Goldston Public Library announces upcoming closures due to building renovations including carpet installation. The library will be closed Wednesday, May 6 through Friday May 8, 2026.

Library patrons can still access the outdoor book drop, online resources, and the wireless internet if parked near the main entrance. The community is advised to monitor the library's social media accounts and the library's website, www.chathamlibraries.org, in case of updates.
“We truly appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as the Goldston Public Library undergoes these important renovations,” said Juana Gomez Soriano, Goldston Public Library Manager. “While we know this temporary closure may be inconvenient, these improvements are an investment in the future of our library—creating a more welcoming, comfortable, and functional space for everyone.”
Chatham Community Library in Pittsboro and Wren Memorial Library in Siler City will remain open during regular business hours.
