PITTSBORO, NC—The Chatham County community is invited to attend “How Housing Happens,” an informative event focused on understanding local housing challenges, affordability, and opportunities for community impact.
WHAT: “How Housing Happens” will feature a panel of nonprofit and private developers discussing why the housing market looks the way it does, how housing development actually occurs—from concept to completion—and how communities can advance shared goals, including greater affordability and opportunity. The event will also highlight the importance of partnerships in shaping housing outcomes across Chatham County.
WHEN: Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
WHERE: Chatham Agriculture and Conference Center 1192 US 64 W Business Pittsboro, NC.
Offered as part of Chatham County’s participation in the Our State, Our Homes initiative through UNC, this event will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the local housing environment and how community voices can help shape future solutions.
Catering, translation services, and childcare will be available. Invitation graphics are available in both English and Spanish.
