Chatham County to Host Open House for New Family Visitation Center

PITTSBORO, NC— Chatham County is proud to announce the opening of its new Family Visitation Center in Pittsboro, a dedicated space designed to support families navigating difficult circumstances. The Center offers a safe, neutral, and structured environment where parents, children, and caregivers can maintain meaningful connections, helping to preserve and strengthen family bonds during times of transition.

WHAT: Open House for Chatham County’s New Family Visitation Center

WHEN: Monday, April 27, 2026
Noon to 5:00 p.m. (Drop in anytime.)

WHERE: 984 Thompson Street, Unit D
Pittsboro, NC 27312

The Family Visitation Center provides supervised visitation services, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants while fostering positive interactions. The space has been thoughtfully designed to be welcoming and family-friendly, with areas that encourage engagement, comfort, and connection.

Community members, partner agencies, and stakeholders are invited to tour the facility, meet staff, and learn more about the vital services the Center will provide.

“Here, every visit is more than time spent—it’s a step toward healing, hope, and stronger family bonds,” said Janice Hanner, Family Service Manager. “This Center reflects our commitment to supporting families with compassion, dignity, and care.”
