PITTSBORO, NC— Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources is inviting local non-profit organizations to apply for Fiscal Year 2027 Recreation Grants. These grants are designed to support and expand recreation opportunities for residents across Chatham County.
Non-profit agencies that provide recreation, arts, or cultural programs or services benefiting the community are encouraged to apply. Funding priorities will be recommended by the Recreation Advisory Committee and based on the Chatham County Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan, as well as departmental goals and objectives.

WHERE: Online application available at www.chathamcountync.gov/parks-rec, under the “Parks and Recreation Non-Profit Grant” section.
Organizations requesting funding must complete a certification process to determine eligibility. Applicants must have been in operation for at least three years; startup organizations are not eligible for funding.
In 2025, Chatham County awarded $20,300 in grant money to non-profit organizations that implemented projects benefiting Chatham County residents, and this year will be no exception,” said Tracy Burnett, Director of Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources. “We invite all non-profit organizations that meet the requirements to participate.”
