PITTSBORO, NC – Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources invites residents of all ages to get active, creative, and connected this March with a wide variety of classes, workshops, sports leagues, and outdoor experiences taking place throughout Chatham County.
Families can enjoy early childhood music and dance classes, youth STEM activities, adaptive basketball, Spring T-Ball, and Spring Break Camp. Outdoor enthusiasts can take part in a Sunset Paddle Trip during Creek Week and sharpen their skills at archery clinics. Teens and adults can explore creative arts programs including pottery, painting, basket making, jewelry creation, and tap dance. Health and wellness opportunities include CPR/AED certification, and the month concludes with the start of the Adult Co-Ed Softball season and a grant writing workshop.
WHAT: Chatham residents are invited to enroll in recreation activities, arts programs, sports leagues, outdoor adventures, and educational workshops for all ages.
WHERE: Programs will be held at the Chatham County Arts Center (964 East Street #105, Pittsboro), the Chatham Grove Community Center (1301 Andrews Store Road, Pittsboro), and various Chatham County parks.
WHEN: Throughout the month of March.
“March is an exciting month because it reflects a wide variety of what we offer — from creativity, wellness, and community connection,” said Tracy Burnett, Chatham County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Director. “Whether someone wants to tap into their artistic side, learn a new skill, play a sport, or spend time outdoors, there is truly something for everyone.”
