Chatham County Government Offices to Delay Opening on January 27th

CHATHAM COUNTY, NC— Due to lingering icy conditions from the winter storm in Chatham and surrounding counties, Chatham County Government offices will delay opening until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

- Northeast District Park and Briar Chapel Park will open at 11:00 a.m.
- Northwest District Park and Southwest District Park will remain closed due to icy conditions at the entrances.
County’s State of Emergency is anticipated to be lifted on the morning of January 27th.

Residents are also encouraged to stay informed about the storm by monitoring www.readync.gov.
