Chatham County Government Offices Closed on January 26th
CHATHAM COUNTY, NC— Due to the winter storm and poor road conditions in Chatham and surrounding counties, Chatham County Government offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel for their safety and so first responders and utility crews can operate safely and efficiently.
A State of Emergency is currently in effect in Chatham County due to the winter storm. The storm will likely continue to impact County operations and services, and additional information will be released as it is available.
Updates will be provided on the Chatham County information phone line at 919-545-8444 and posted to the Chatham County website www.chathamcountync.gov and social media channels – Facebook, Twitter/X and Nextdoor. Residents are also encouraged to stay informed about the storm by monitoring www.readync.gov.
