The need for blood is constant. Patients undergoing cancer treatments, surgeries and trauma
care rely on a consistent supply to survive and heal. By giving blood this month, donors can
help give hospitals the tools they need to care for patients this fall − before the upcoming
holidays.
To make an appointment, individuals may visit https://tinyurl.com/CCL-Oct2025 and scroll
down to the blood drive for October 31 at the Chatham Community Library, then click on "See
Times." Halloween costumes are encouraged!
Individuals can maximize their blood donation and help more patients. Those who are an
eligible type O, B negative or A negative donor, can consider making a Power Red donation.
Red blood cells are the most commonly transfused blood component.
All who come to give blood between October 27 and November 16 will receive a $20 e-gift card and be
entered for chance to win a $5K prize. See RedCrossBlood.org/Harvest.
Residents may visit the libraries’ website www.chathamlibraries.org, or contact the library at (919) 545-8084
