PITTSBORO, NC— In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October, Chatham Community Library, in partnership with Second Bloom of Chatham, will host author Janine Latus on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Latus will present, "We Need to Talk: Compelling Strategies to Recognize Intimate Partner Abuse, Intervene, and Help Yourself and Others Live Healthy, Loving Lives.”. This program is free and open to the public.

A limited number of free copies of Latus's book is available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be picked up at the library's front desk.

A reception preceding the program and book discussion will begin at noon. Light refreshments will be served.
