WHO: Drawing from Henry David Thoreau’s Walden, attendees will explore the author’s mastery of both the foundational tenets of Yoga and the English language. Thoreau lived in the mid-nineteenth century during turbulent times in America. He said he was born on July 12, 1817, “in the nick of time” in Concord, Massachusetts, during the flowering of America when the transcendental movement was taking root and when the antislavery movement was rapidly gaining momentum.

Jeshua Pacifici received his Masters in Education and English from Virginia Tech where he taught in the English Department and in the English Honors Program. He also taught English Writing and Critical Thinking at Central Carolina Community College. Pacifici studied yoga in India and has practiced meditation/asanas for over 50 years.
