Chatham Community Library to Host Seed Saving for Food 102

PITTSBORO, NC—Chatham Community Library will host Seed Saving for Food 102 on Thursday, September 25, in the Holmes Family Meeting Room. This program is free and open to the public and registration is not required.

Ready to dive into the wonderful world of seed saving? After a follow-up presentation in August on the who and how of seed saving, participants will get hands-on experience saving seeds. Attendees will practice wet fermentation, winnowing, threshing, and screening methods. Prior attendance at the Seed Saving for Food 101 class is not required. This class will be taught by NC State Extension Master Gardener Volunteers.
