SILER CITY, NC— Wren Memorial Library is excited to announce a variety of free and fun events during the month of September for the Chatham County community to enjoy.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Friday, September 5th, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Chatham County community members are invited to roll up their sleeves and help save lives. Wren Memorial Library will host an American Red Cross blood drive on Friday, September 5, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To schedule a donation, individuals may download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767), or go to RedCrossBlood.org and put in Siler City's zip code 27344.

Taste Testers: Oreos
Tuesday, September 9th, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Calling all young taste testers! Join Wren Memorial Library for a fun event where kids will sample Oreos, guess the flavors, and vote for their favorites. Participating taste buds will determine the ultimate Oreo flavor champion.

Teen Cooking Class
Wednesday, September 10th, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Calling all teen chefs! Explore the world of flavors and culinary creativity in this teen cooking class. Participants will unleash their inner cook and whip up delicious dishes while learning new skills. The N.C. Cooperative Extension - Chatham County Center will lead this class. Book(ish) Club

Recurring every 3rd Wednesday of the month
Looking for a book club with a relaxed vibe? Readers are invited to join the Book(ish) Book Club, where participants choose their own read as long as it fits the monthly theme. The theme for September's meeting is: A book that has been adapted into a TV show or movie.

Financial Literacy for Kids
Tuesday, September 23rd, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Chatham youth are invited to join Wren Memorial Library for a fun, interactive money game. It's like Twister with a twist. The Currency Conga challenge is to match the money and not fall. Free piggy banks to participants while supplies last.

Easier to Grow Fruits of the Piedmont
Friday, September 26th, 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Join Wren Memorial Library and learn about cultivating local fruit varieties with ease. Participants will discover the secrets to successful fruit growing in this informative program. This class will be presented by the N.C. Cooperative Extension - Chatham County Center.
