Chatham Community Library to Host Seed Saving for Food
PITTSBORO, NC – Chatham Community Library will host Seed Saving 101 on Thursday, August 21. This program is free and open to the public and registration is not required.

Learn the basics of saving seeds from food crops in this hands-on class led by an NC
Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer. Participants can take a step up the ladder
toward self-sufficiency, trim food costs, develop plants with optimal traits to thrive in their
gardens’ specific climate, and join in creating a local seed shed in the community.
