PITTSBORO, NC— Chatham County Public Libraries (CCPL) will hold a Library Foundation interest meeting on Tuesday, August 19th at Chatham Community Library. CCPL seeks to re-establish and diversify the library foundation board to secure and sustain the future of county libraries. This meeting is open to the public.

WHY: The mission of the Chatham County Public Libraries Foundation is to promote and support library services in Chatham County, now and in the future. The foundation serves as custodian of endowment funds to support the enhancement of library services and facilities beyond what would be expected from tax dollars.
The Foundation also serves as a conduit for private donations for specific library initiatives. Foundation funding will be available for system-wide expenses including state-of-the-art programming, grant matches for library initiatives, and large capital investment projects.
