Wren Memorial Library Announces Programs and Events in August

SILER CITY, NC—Wren Memorial Library is excited to announce events during the month of August for the Chatham County community to enjoy. The following events are free and open to the public.

Kids Zine Boards

Wednesday, August 6th, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Chatham youth are invited for a fun crafting session to create personalized back-to-school vision boards! Participants can get creative with magazines to visualize and plan out their upcoming school year adventures.

Generations Together
Thursday, August 7th, 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Recurring every 1st Thursday of the month
Join the library for an off-site program that unites individuals of all ages! Chatham adults are invited to bring their children and grandchildren for a day of games, stories, crafts, conversations, and more. This program takes place at the Siler City Center for Active Living located at 112 Village Lake Drive in Siler City.

Color Our World Red
Tuesday, August 12th, 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Join the library for a story time filled with tales of gardens, fruits, and nature's wonders! There will also be a light food tasting and creative fun craft activity that celebrates the beauty of red themes. This program is presented by a Chatham County Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteer.

Wild Tails
Wednesday, August 13th, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Join the library for a 'Wild' time! This animal program will teach and show off a diverse collection of animals. Participants might see a mammal, a reptile or maybe even a bird! This program is presented by Wild Tails and made possible by Friends of the Wren Memorial Library.

Busy Bees Pollinating
Wednesday, August 20th, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Join the library for an interactive program, perfect for families and nature enthusiasts of all ages! Participants will explore the crucial role that busy bees play in our ecosystem as they flit from flower to flower, spreading life and color wherever they go. This program is presented by Chatham County Cooperative Extension Master Gardener volunteers.

BINGO Social
Wednesday, August 27th, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Recurring every 4th Wednesday of the month
Prepare for some BINGO fun! Adults are invited to join the library for an engaging session of playing games and winning exciting prizes. All supplies provided. No registration required.
