Join the Fun: Summer Programs at Chatham County Libraries

PITTSBORO, NC— Children and teens are invited to participate in Summer at the Library: Color Our World at Chatham County Public Libraries branches from June 7 through August 2, 2025. Summer at the Library is designed to encourage kids to continue reading during the summer months and engage in fun, educational activities and events.

WHERE: All Chatham County Public Libraries branches:
•Chatham Community Library 197 NC Hwy 87 N, Pittsboro, NC 27312
•Goldston Public Library 9235 Pittsboro-Goldston Road, Goldston, NC 27252
•Wren Memorial Library 500 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC 27344

 Summer Reading activities and events are open to children and teens ages 2-18. These activities are sponsored by Chatham County Public Libraries’ Friends of the Libraries groups.

Readers participate by picking up a reading and activity log and a free book – one per participant, while supplies last. All participants who read for at least 10 hours and/or complete 10 activities will be entered into a Grand Prize drawing.

Special events will be presented at Chatham County library branches throughout the summer, including a kickoff program at Chatham Community Library on June 7, at 10:30 a.m., with Chatham County Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources and outdoor activities. Other presenters include Big Bang Boom, Bright Star Children’s Theatre, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the North Carolina Zoo, and more.
