DESCRIPTION:<p>In recognition of <a href="https://bja.ojp.gov/news/april-second-chance-month-0" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Second Chance Month</a> in April, and in partnership with <a href="https://www.chathamcountync.gov/government/departments-programs-a-h/court-related-domestic-violence-services/-fsiteid-1#!/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chatham County Diversion and Advocacy Programs</a>, Chatham Community Library will host a reentry simulator on Monday, April 13, from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm in the Holmes Family Meeting Room. This program is free and open to the public. <strong><a href="https://tinyurl.com/CCL-Reentry" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Registration is required</a>&nbsp;</strong>and is capped at 75 participants.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">A reentry simulator is an interactive, empathy building workshop that mimics the challenges of transitioning from incarceration back into society<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">. </span>Participants assume a "reentrant" persona and spend about 90 minutes navigating stations (e.g., probation, employment, housing) over four simulated weeks.
