Chatham Community Library will host Anayancy Estacio, Education Program Coordinator for Chatham County's Solid Waste and Recycling Department, as she discusses "Common Composting Conundrums and How to Troubleshoot Them", Wednesday, May 6, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Holmes Family Meeting Room.
This program will focus on helping participants address some of the most common challenges that come up with composting. Both backyard composting and vermicomposting will be covered, and will include a mix of activities along with practical tips and solutions. Information about local composting opportunities, including resources from the North Carolina Composting Council will be available.
This program is free and open to the public and is in recognition International Compost Awareness Week. Participants can enter a raffle to win a free backyard compost bin and kitchen collector.
