Winter Seed Sowing

Chatham Community Library will host a "Winter Seed Sowing" class on Thursday, January 15, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Holmes Family Meeting Room. This program is free and open to the public.

In this hands-on class, you will learn a simple, low-cost method of starting seeds outdoors using repurposed containers, which plants are suitable, and how to monitor and transplant the seedlings.

This class is led by a NC State Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteer and is geared toward adults. No registration is required.

Residents may visit the libraries’ website www.chathamlibraries.org, or contact the Library at (919) 545-8084 for information on this and other events and programs.

Members of the media interested in attending/covering this event are asked to please notify Public Information Officer Kara Lusk in advance at 919-542-8258 or kara.lusk@chathamcountync.gov.
